I found this recipe for Moss Graffiti on Instructables.
In a blender combine:
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
A few handfuls of moss
1 teaspoon of sugar
Blend until smooth enough to paint (mixture will be thick).
Paint on a porous wall (such as brick or concrete) and mist with water daily until it grows.
Paint freehand or use a stencil and tape if you want it precise.
I am so excited to try this out!

This is fantastic. I love it!!! I have no clue where to try it, but someday I will.
ReplyDeleteSo amazing!!! Love this!
ReplyDeleteabout how long will it take to grow ?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing a 4-6 weeks. But growth will depend on many factors: your location, sun exposure, temperature, humidity etc. Most moss (besides tropical moss like Spanish moss) will grow better in cool shaded areas. Water daily and do some research a particular moss that grow well in your area. Good luck :)

I can't wait to give it a try....although...I did write about some other ways to play with moss and get back at neighbours. haha. I couldn't help myself. I thought you may enjoy it too.
