Last Saturday we had a quadruple date night! A bunch of us got together at our house and everyone brought something to share -- Dan and I did all the veggies and Brazilian Lemonade, Evan and Monica brought some awesome fish from Evans last voyage, Dany and Ev brought an amazing apple pie and Shanny and Justin brought a tasty salad. It's so much fun having last minute get-togethers, especially when everyone chips in. After dinner we played some glow-in-the-dark bocci ball and then drove up to the Long Beach Laugh Factory. The ticket seller noticed that Justin was a Navy Pilot, so they bumped our group up to the front row...where the comedians proceeded to rag on us all night. Awww the perks of having a military I.D. Baaahaha. It was a hilarious, amazing evening.

Gooey, Amazing Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Marshmallow Sticky Buns
These little treats are so easy and fun to make and they're unbelievably yummy.
Ingredients:
1 can of refrigerated Crescent Rolls
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
10 or so large Jiffy Marshmallows
1/2 cup butter (melted)
Directions:
-Spread out your crescent dough on a flat surface
-Mix your brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
- Dip one marshmallow at a time into the melted butter and then roll it in the brown sugar-cinnamon mix.
-Wrap the marshmallow in the dough and place it on a lined baking sheet.
-Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
*Make sure you pinch-close and smooth out any openings in the dough...otherwise you'll have a sticky mess when baking them.
In the end you'll have beautiful little sticky buns with a chewy cinnamon vanilla flavor.
P.S. the marshmallow disappears into the dough!
We had ours with a cup of Mexican hot chocolate. Mmmm.
Perfect combination.
Fancy Taco Night
Dan and I had some friends over last week. We thought it would be a nice excuses to use our wedding china. I think it was the first time I've ever eaten a taco on china...ha-ha.We had steak and spicy chipotle shrimp tacos. Mmmmm. Kelly made some amazing blue margaritas with some kind of Brazilian liquor. Sooo good. And then we had Mexican hot chocolate and brown sugar cinnamon sticky buns for dessert. After dinner we played "You Don't Know Jack" the rest of the night. Too much fun.

My Bridal Showers
Here are some pictures from my bridal showers last summer. Not one, not two but three showers! I am one lucky lady. The first one was an afternoon lunch with my friends -- filled with funny games, beautiful handmade decorations and presents that would make you blush. I am so blessed to have such amazing gals in my life. Second was a neighborhood brunch with all the ladies from the hood, thrown by the lovely Susan and Tina. The fresh flowers were donated from gardens around the neighborhood and arraigned by the ladies and the famous Ernesto: King of Decor and Flowers. I have the best neighbors in the world. And the third shower was a wonderful family get-together hosted by my Aunt D with all of my Aunties, Mommala and cousins. I love you all so much. Thanks for all the love and support.
